MINEHEAD have been forced to call off their first pre-season cricket friendly - against Wellington at Queen's College in Taunton.

The two clubs, who both won their respective divisions last season, were due to play play each on Sunday but the pitch at Queen's is not yet ready because of all the bad weather.

Minehead won the Premier Division in the Somerset League last season while Wellington were winners of the Somerset Division of the West of England Premier League without losing a game, winning 16 matches, while two others were cancelled.
